Learner Centered Proficiency 5 – Professional Development


The teacher, as a reflective practitioner dedicated to all students’ success, demonstrates a commitment to learn, to improve the profession and to maintain professional ethics and personal integrity.

Texas Teacher Proficiencies, Adopted by the State Board of Education in February 1994.   These proficiencies guid preservice preparation, professional development, and teacher appraisal practices for teachers in Texas.
